Recently I discovered the gazillion Feynman lectures that youtube hosts. Those who have read even a single chapter from his Lectures on Physics 3 volume set won't find it difficult to appreciate this bonanza. Savor yourself!

Giuliani's abortion gaffe
Is Giuliani's selective pro-abortion position going to cost him in crucial Republican primaries? Of course, it will. Grass roots voters dislike their candidates taking too radical a position from their own. Surely, South Carolina primary won't be a happy affair for him but if he can decimate his opposition in Iowa and NH then obviously the game changes.
What will be more crucial I think is the probable windfall he might reap nationally, solidifying his claim in the primaries, that may drive voters in his embrace. Republicans pride themselves on being realists and the way things are going with the Democratic side I won't be surprised if GOPians end up thinking that Giuliani is a winnable candidate.
Put him against Hillary(she seems destined to be the Dems candidate, since Obama will certainly cost Dems some crucial states, probably NY included) and the former NY mayor comes as a formidable candidate on account of his decisiveness, straight talk and semi-liberal positions, that can potentially appeal to the undecided voting block.
The war is still going to be there and a strong leadership which will deliver a relatively honorable pullout will certainly be on most voters minds - Rudy comes up trumps in that dept.
So, overall, I don't think this issue will affect him much, but then again we're far far away from even the primaries, and it is premature to speculate much on it. What do you think?
